Sunday, October 20, Old Plank Road to Frankfort Market Ride
Old Plank Road Bike Trail is a nicely paved country ride from Matteson to Joliet, through wetlands, wooded areas, and country grasslands. We’ll ride 10 miles to the Sunday Frankfort Country Market (open 9 AM – 1 PM) and village shops near the old depot. Those interested in more miles will continue further and return to Frankfort for lunch about noon at the Trails Edge Brewery. We’ll start our ride back to Matteson at about 1 PM.
Where: Drive to the Matteson Metra Station or take the Metra Electric #807 (bikes allowed) out of Millenium Park
Station at 8:10 AM, arriving at 9:11 AM. We’ll meet at the Old Plank Road Trail kiosk next to Parking Lot 1 on Main St.
The ME #819 departs Matteson at 2:10 PM, arriving at Millenium Station at 3:11 PM.
