OLD PLANK ROAD Bike Ride - Sunday October 20, 2019

Fourteen people enjoyed a crisp fall day biking from Matteson Metra station to Frankfort, IL . We had 4 join from the Evanston Bike club, which was a real treat. Our biking coordinator, Ed Hanlon, was also there, as always, supporting all biking events. A highlight was the trail side wildlife sanctuary where we saw heron, egrets, pelicans, and cormorants. Some people stopped In the quaint, picturesque town of Frankfort to enjoy the local vendors fall country market while others continued biking to get in 30 miles for the day. We drank and ate a delicious lunch at the Trails Edge brewery in Frankfort. What a fun healthy way to spend a Sunday Fall afternoon.
