EVENT LEADER: Dina Petrakis dina@solec.com
Volunteer with fellow LakeShore Ski and Sports Club members to help beautify our Chicago River and Parks.
What to expect: Volunteers should expect to work and get a bit dirty or wet. This is an outdoor activity IN CANOES along the banks of the Chicago River. Your morning will start out with a welcome from your site captain AND signing of waivers (required). This will be followed by an overview of the day’s activities, safety talk, and distribution of supplies to volunteers. Volunteers will work along the river banks and help to remove litter. This is a great way to see a wonderful part of the river, north from 3400. Come for the cleanup and join us this summer for evening kayaking in the same section of the river!
What to bring: Wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing. This activity will go on rain or shine. Bring water, sunscreen, and your favorite work gloves.
Registration (RSVP) is Required so we know who will be attending.
You will complete an event day waiver at the site.
