Dunes/Woods Hike, Including Lake Michigan - Saturday, January 9, 2021 - 1pm to 4pm



The Paul H. Douglas trail in Miller Woods winds through several habitats including wetlands, globally rare black oak savanna, open dunes, and beach. The views of the Lake and dunes are incredible. The oak savanna’s natural grasses and wildflowers, including lupine, thrive in the sunlight and open forest floor. All this is just 45 minutes from Chicago!

We’ll meet in the parking lot and depart at 1pm. We’ll hike to Lake Michigan and return via the same trail. Bring a snack for during or after the hike.
