Chicago Architecture: A Walk Through Time - Sunday, September 13, 2020

CAF Walk Thru Time

Tim led a private Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) tour for club members. Because the CAC limits tours to six people in order to ensure adequate social distancing, we could only offer the tour to six members and the tour quickly filled up. We will be offering another tour in October, giving priority to cub members who were on the wait list for the 9/13 tour.

We had perfect weather. Our route took us on short loops north and south of the river, starting at the Architecture Center. Even Chicagoans who have lived here all their lives find that CAC tours reveal things they never knew. This tour was no exception – from the squirrel gargoyles on the Virgin Hotel to the blow-through floor on the Vista Tower – there was always something interesting to see.
