Montpellier, France is the closest major airport to the boat, but reaching it will likely require a connection elsewhere in Europe. The fastest route is most likely to fly to Paris (CDG) and take the train to Provence; which will let you comfortably get to Aigues-Mortes without risking missing the boat due to a delayed flight or missed connection. The add-on options are designed to coordinate with air flights (on your own) arriving Friday, August 24th (meaning departure from the US on Thursday, Aug 23).
The fastest way from Paris to Provence is by train, otherwise it is more than a 7 hour drive through the French countryside which, while picturesque, does not always offer the fastest driving.
We expect to leave shortly after breakfast for the trip from Paris to Aigues-Mortes, so sadly there will be no time to see Paris on Saturday.
This Add-on provide rail transfers between Paris and Provence but NOT AIRFARE between US and France.
Add On: Rail Avignon to Paris, & Quartier Latin Pantheon Hotel (1 night)
Date: Sat, 9/1/18 – Sun, 9/2/18
$200 per each member
NOT INCLUDED - FLIGHTS BETWEEN FRANCE and US
The prices above do not include Airfare to and from France. This is because we expect most people to either arrive early or stay on (or both) to visit Paris, more of Provence or elsewhere in France and Europe.
This Add-on provide accommodations in Paris for one night (Saturday, Sept 1) at the end of the trip for leaving Paris on Sunday, Sept 2, 2018.
