The Nordic Center requires a state park vehicle sticker- $11 per day for out of state licenses and a $5.00 trail pass. There is a warming hut at the Nordic Center with benches and tables adjacent to the parking lot and trail head. You can also get a great lunch at the LaGrange store, and they offer other items including rental skis and snow shoes. A classic refresher ski lesson will be offered for anyone interested. The Nordic Center is two miles north of the LaGrange store on Highway B, (the intersection of Route 12 and Highway B. It is a less than two hours to drive from downtown Chicago. An alternate route is I-90 to Route 53 through Lake Geneva to Route 12 and then northwest through Elkhorn to LaGrange.
