Sample the cuisine of Oaxaca, a region in Mexico that celebrates a variety of mole sauces, mushrooms, foods roasted in banana leaves and corn husks; varied use of pumpkin and sesame seeds.

The $35 per person includes tax and tip. (CASH only; no credit cards.) paid directly to the restaurant.

Foods will be served family-style with passed plates.

Drinks: This is BYOB. Bring your wine, beer, tequila; the restaurant provides Margarita mix (which is delicious without the alcohol).

Menu includes: Guacamole; mushrooms in banana leaves; cactus salad, tamales (chicken, pork, mushroom), Oaxaca “pizza” (grilled tortillas topped with mixed vegetables, and skirt steak; Cornish hen with mole sauce and sesame seeds; steamed rice, barbecued lamb shank with watercress; roasted fillet of cod with zucchini, pumpkin seed and tomato; flan dessert.
