Greek Islands will be the location for a gathering of LSSC members and friends for a wonderful taverna style dinner in Greek Town. $49.50 includes complete meal, tax and tip. Cash bar from 6:30 to 7:30 is extra. Parking in restaurant lot included – just tip! This is an always popular dinner and an annual tradition.

Every year we join the Friends of the Chicago River for its Annual Cleanup Day. Our cleanup location to be announced and restaurant for lunch determined by our location. Register with LSSC and meet=up at the Lawrence‘s Fisheries site at 9AM on May 11.

Plan on an evening of laughter and fun at Chicago’s Bughouse 1910 Irving Park Road, with our own member, Darren Stephens along with ex-Second City actors performing improv comedy. It’s a BYOB with a $10 entry fee. Afterwards join cast at a nearby bar, Black Eagle Chicago. Sign up with LSSC, then make a reservation at Bughouse website below for May 18 at 7:30 pm.

Join your fellow LSSC members and friends to enjoy the music of the Grant Park Orchestra at their Music Festival Season Opener. Dvorak, Clyne, and Britten music are scheduled. Come early to share refreshments and conversation. LSSC will have space saved at the Northeast corner of the lawn.

Let’s gather at the Irene C Hernandez Family Picnic Grove (a part of LaBagh Woods, at W. Foster Ave., east of N Cicero Avenue) and then bike to the Botanic Gardens where we will lunch, then return. Meet at 9:00 am, start biking at 9:15.
