Dining with Distance: Pinched on the River - Wednesday August 19, 2020
Pinched On the River is a secret...sort of. The restaurant in Streeterville, squeezed in between Ogden Slip and Illinois Street, hosted eight LSSC members on August 19 plus two non-member guests. Masks came down as drinks arrived.
We caught up on tales of bike trips, cancelled summer escapades, sailing stories and hopes for fall adventures.
Members included Rosemary Devlin, Dick Osgood, Wendy Wasson, Fusun Borelli, Pamela Browne, Larry Reiss and Mary Gallagher. Terry Crisitello played photographer.
The dinner featured a Mediterranean-style "build your own bowl" with lots of veggies, rice, hummus, greens and cheeses. Protein picks included chicken and seared tilapia.
The weather was a gift - comfortable breezes. As the sun set we toasted each other until the next time.
