This year we are returning to the award winning PARTHENON to accommodate overwhelming demand and enjoy a private room and bar. Join 90 of your LakeShore friends for our casual fabulous annual dinner in the heart of Chicago’s Greek town. Once again, Sam Samatas is LSSC’s gracious host. Symbolizing the birthplace of Western Civilization, the Parthenon is one of Greece’s proudest achievements standing majestically on the renowned hilltop that is the Acropolis of Athens. Naming this restaurant after this architectural wonder carries a deep responsibility for excellence; the owners Chris, Yanna and Chef Sotiris never take this obligation lightly. The emphasis at the Parthenon is on great food, so bring a healthy appetite. The cuisine is among the best in the area.
We will start with appetizers of saganaki (flamed cheese with the customary OPAA!), taramousalata (pink caviar dip), Egg-Lemon soup, Greek salad, crusty bread and roditys wine. Main courses include Gyros, Rotisserie-Roasted Lamb or Athenian Chicken or Vegetarian Plate, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), mousaka (eggplant and meat layered pie), rice pilaf and lemon roasted potatoes. Of course we will end with baklava (philo, nuts and honey), galagtoborico (light custard in philo) and coffee or tea. There is more than enough for anybody’s tastes or desires. Don’t miss this fun return to Greek Town.
