Chicago’s architectural heritage is considered to be among the finest in the world, and the Chicago River provides the ultimate setting to view these structures, both buildings and bridges.
Our cruise will take us through the heart of the city, and the docent will provide an in-depth perspective on why Chicago architecture is known and studied around the world.
We will start our adventure from the Wrigley Building, entering the Wendella tour boat off Michigan Avenue. We will cruise for 90 minutes along Chicago’s winding waterways, viewing such new sights as the Trump Building and the Chicago Spire. Be sure your camera battery is charged.
After the tour, we can walk over to Lou Malnati’s Pizza for 2 hours of “all you can eat” pizza with beer, wine, soft drinks.
That evening is also Chicago’s famous Venetian Night Boat Parade in Monroe Street Harbor fronting Grant Park and the Buckingham Fountain.
