We are meeting in the Wisconsin Dells (190 miles from Chicago) for a weekend of numerous activities and continual fun. Experience the incredible scenic beauty of central Wisconsin during the turning of the fall colors. The Dells offer an array of adult activities including natural landscape golf courses, day spas, shopping and evening entertainment. Other activities include a ride on a steam-powered train through the pristine Wisconsin country side, hiking amidst the flora and fauna on “The Ice Age Trail”, and a horse drawn carriage ride through “Lost Canyon”.
There will be an organized bike ride Saturday on the Elroy-Sparta Trail (thirty minutes away). This 32 mile long, crushed limestone surfaced Rails to Trails travels through three railroad tunnels and is considered one of the premier biking trails in the Midwest.
On Sunday there will be two organized events, a scenic boat ride on the Wisconsin River, with its majestic bluffs and then a visit to the International Crane Foundation, the only place in the world where you can see all fifteen species of cranes in a natural setting of restored tall grass prairie.
Lodging will be at the new, adult oriented Hilton Garden Inn, a full service hotel with deluxe accommodations, an indoor pool and whirlpools, fitness center and lounge.
The trip includes two nights lodging (two to a room), Friday night welcoming reception, Saturday afternoon pool party and a Saturday night group dinner buffet.
