We’re off to one of LSSC’s favorite cross-country destination, where new skiers as well as the pros always have a wonderful weekend. Minocqua Winter Park is recognized as one of the top cross-country ski areas in the Midwest and provides a full range of services for the cross-country skier, including: 75 km of groomed terrain with 65 km groomed for both skating and striding and 10 km groomed for striding only. For variety, Minocqua also has a 10 km snowshoeing trail. There is a Chalet with a cafe, a day lodge and heated waxing room. Rentals and new equipment sales are available through the Minocqua Winter Park Ski Shop. And as always, the club offers a free ski lesson.

This year we are returning to the recently refurbished Concord Inn (now Best Western), a short bus ride from the trails. We will be provided with a complimentary breakfast and will be able to relax après ski in a hot tub or heated indoor pool. Being downtown, you can also walk to unique shops, restaurants and nightlife.

Bus transport to and from the hotel and trail heads, three days trail passes, lodging (double occupancy for three nights), wine and cheese party are included in the trip. Lessons are dependent on instructor availability.
