Whitefish Mountain Resort (formerly The Big Mountain) is Montana’s other major ski area. Located close to Glacier National Park and the Canadian border, the scenery is awesome. Advanced skiers will find the bowl, tree and snow cat skiing appealing. Intermediate skiers will enjoy the long cruiser runs. No altitude problems here – the base is 4500’ and the summit is 7000’. Lift-lines are a rarity.

Cross-country skiers are welcome to join us, as there are Nordic options here, including Glacier Park.

We will be staying in the charming western town of Whitefish, a 15-20 minutes shuttle to the ski area. The Grouse Mountain Lodge features spacious-double occupancy hotel rooms. Included in the package will be lodging, air transportation*, ground transportation (hotel shuttle will provide the 15-minute ride to and from the airport), four-day lift ticket, complimentary buffet breakfasts, welcome party and a wine tasting on the final night. Complimentary shuttles are provided daily for skiers with three departure times each way. The shuttle van is also on call in the evening for your nocturnal activities. Whitefish has many interesting dining and drinking options.
