We are returning to the club’s favorite day-trip location. An easy bus ride from Chicagoland, Chestnut Mountain in Galena features beautiful views of the Mississippi River Valley from every run and a variety of terrain for all abilities. Our trip includes:

*  A variety of terrain for all abilities, and usually reliable ski conditions.
*  Lift tickets and NASTAR race (beginners welcome).
*  Transportation from two pick-up points - downtown and northwest suburban.
*  Friendly bus trip with plenty of (non-alcoholic) refreshments and snacks for your enjoyment.
*  Great restaurant sit-down meal in Galena.

Mark your calendar now for Chestnut Mountain on Saturday 24 January 2009. Don’t be left out in the cold – send your check & Trip Application on the trip’s opening day as this trip traditionally fills fast. Be ready for a fun, action packed day.

* There is also a non-skiers option for this trip. To tour and enjoy historic Galena. You will travel and return with LSSC; our skier hospitality is included at no extra charge! The day is yours to take a personal tour of Galena (see www.galenatourism.com) and then rejoin the group for cocktails at Fried Green Tomatoes on Main Street before dinner. Cost is $68 or $78, depending if you are a current member of LSSC.
