Witness the spectacular annual fall event when all the sandhill cranes of the upper Midwest fly south, stop at a single preserve in Northwest Indiana for a month of socializing, courtship and feasting on corn. 
 
This "drive on your own" trip includes 2 and 1/2 hours of paddling (8miles) on the Kankakee River launching at English Lake and ending at Dunn's Bridge; followed by sunset viewing of as many as 15,000 sandhill cranes at the Jasper Pulaski Preserve in NW Indiana.
We will meet up with Chicago River Canoe and Kayak at 11:45am at the Main Street Gas Station located at the first light at Route 231 and Rte. 2 in Hebron Indiana.
Pay on Own - $95/canoe or tandem kayak; $65/person in single kayak.
