Do you ever have dreams where you are soaring through the air like superman? Maybe you don’t, but do you wish you did? This is that experience!
No experience necessary. Fly with a certified instructor pilot by your side for a bird’s eye view of the Illinois countryside. All flights are towed to altitude by a special ultra-light aircraft. You will feel confident and relaxed with the wind in your face and your well trained instructor by your side. Your instructor will show you how to control the glider. You will be able to "fly" your first time up and return gently to earth on a slow glide with a smooth rolling landing. Soar like an eagle in this purest form of flight! Youngsters to oldsters have flown. You will never forget this amazing experience!
The airfield is 75 minutes south of downtown Chicago, so leave enough time for travel. Prepare for a day in the country! We start at 8am to allow time for some introductory instruction and to take advantage of the (normally) better conditions, and will eat lunch (bring your own) at the field.
Your personal hang gliding video will be available for $25 (optional, additional cost, bring cash on the day).
When: Saturday, July 21, 8 am to lunchtime, or Sunday, July 22, rain date.
NOTE! If we get sufficient participants we will be split up into two groups.
One of which will fly in the afternoon; if this occurs you will be contacted for preferences.
